Day 28 of the 60-Day Regular Session
Last week in the Senate the Jessica Lunsford bill (SB 988) passed its third of four committees. The House Proposed Committee Bill (PCB SSC 8) was introduced and will receive a bill number soon.
The bills are identical. ABC and the League of Cities are discussing possible amendments to the OCIP bills (HB 843 & SB 1624). Language has been agreed to on the Crane Operator’s Certification bills (HB 1347 & SB 2068). It’s late in the Session but efforts are underway to have the bills scheduled for hearings in committee. The Senate and the House recessed on Friday, March 30 for 10 days in observance of Holy Week and Passover. Click here for details.
