Hunt Scores GC Project of the Year

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers Corporate Offices and Training Facility project is comprised of a two-story 116,960 SF office building, a 19,360 SF weight training building, and a 1,000 SF maintenance building. Hunt and the owner determined that a fast track delivery method, teamed with a Design Process would help deliver everything the owners desired in a very short amount of time. The main building façade is a mixture of composite metal panels, glazed curtain wall, and stucco on a structural steel frame. The most intriguing aspect of the structure is the five-story, 22-ton football icon. The massive football is made of fabricated rolled structural steel tubing and is integrated into the main entry of the building. “We are truly honored to have received the Project of the Year Award for the Buccaneers Corporate Offices and Training Facility. We were up against some worthy projects and distinguished contractors and are flattered to have been recognized by the committee and awarded by the Florida Gulf Coast Chapter.” said Hunt Construction’s Mark McCaskey.

Conshor Wins Sub-Contractor Project of the Year

Aria is a luxury high-rise condominium located in the prestigious Parkshore area of Naples, Florida. The project is 20 stories over parking with a fully landscaped amenity deck, sumptuous living units and grand common areas. Conshor, Incorporated was contracted to provide labor and material to form the foundations, columns, walls, slabs, beams, stairs, pool, caps, curbs and masonry filled cells. Additionally, Conshor placed the unfinished concrete and grouted the masonry filled cells. This entailed forming approximately 813,000 square feet of contact area and placing an estimated 5615 cubic yards of concrete and filled cell grout. The amount of planning, engineering, supervision and labor required for Aria’s forming, shoring and reshoring far exceeds that of the average high-rise condominium. This sublimely aesthetic structure demanded constant attention from Conshor to produce the high quality and artistic appeal envisioned by the owner and the architect while delivering the structure designed by the engineer.

ABC Member In The News!

Hyde Park United Methodist Church tapped TriMar Construction, Inc. to build its 9,500-square-foot Youth Ministry Center, which will be dedicated at a special ceremony on Sunday, April 15. The project, designed by RBK architects, is located near downtown Tampa at 500 West Platt Street. The construction contract was estimated at $1.5 million.
