Jed Dean Win ABC Beam Club Member of the Year

ABC announced that Jed Dean of Skanska USA Building, Inc., Tampa, Fla., was named ABC’s 2007 Beam Club Member of the Year during the association’s 2008 National Convention in San Juan, Puerto Rico. ABC presents the award each year to the individual who is considered the top membership recruiter.

UF Wins Construction Management Competition

ABC held its eighth annual Student Construction Management Competition during the 2008 ABC National Convention, March 5-9 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. ABC Host Largest State Legislative Conference Ever!

At this year’s legislative session, ABC hosted the largest Legislative Conference ever in Tallahassee Florida. Over 115 ABC members throughout the state attended and spent two days meeting with legislators lobbying for ABC issues. Click here for Legislative Updates.

GATES Begins Work On Naples Daily News Facility

GATES broke ground on the 186,503 square foot new headquarters facility for the Naples Daily News this month. Located on an 18 acre site on Immokalee Road in North Naples, this $30 - $40 million project is expected to be completed in the Summer of 2009. The Naples Daily News Offices, Printing and Distribution facility will feature state-of-the-art technology. Construction will also include all 18 acre site work, utilities, and two lakes.
