Plans & Specs Gets A Facelift!

ABC has unveiled the new look Plans & Specs bi-monthly magazine. "We are extremely excited about the new direction of our chapter publication" said ABC Marketing Director Steve Cona III. ABC Members Gather at State Convention

Florida's ABC members gathered in Marco Island, Florida for this year's State Convention. Highlights of the week consisted of a Construction Forecast, Legislative Updates, Keynote Address by Alex Sink (CFO-State of Florida). Members also had time to enjoy the beach and a dinner/dance party.

High Point Place

FORT MYERS, FL – The Fort Myers division of Tri-City Electrical Contractors, Inc. is working on the new multimillion-dollar, 33-story High Point Place Condominium and City Homes, Phase II, in Fort Myers, FL, under its contract with Kraft Construction. The 105-unit high-rise is scheduled for completion in September 2007. Tri-City also served as electrical contractor on Phase I, consisting of a 33-story, 105-unit tower and the initial 3-story, 6-unit City Homes building.

GATES Receives SBC’s Aurora Award

GATES has been awarded the Southeast Building Conference’s prestigious statewide Aurora Award in the category of Recreational Facility for the 80,000 square-foot Naples Community Hospital’s (NCH) Briggs Health Pavilion in downtown Naples. This building also won ABC's Eagle Award for Excellence In Construction.

ABC Poker Tournament

Our first ever Poker Tournament was a great success and everyone had a great time! The tournament took place in the private poker room at Derby Lane on Gandy Blvd. We look forward to next year's event! Congrats to Summer Lawler (Matrix Employee Leasing) for winning the event.

Coastal Mechanical Wins ABC's Fishing Tournament

On June 29th, ABC held its annual Offshore Fishing Tournament. Twenty-two boats headed into the Gulf of Mexico for a great day of fishing. Coastal Mechanical won this year's tournament catching 368 inches worth of fish.
